What does “Letterpress” Mean?

Letterpress is a centuries-old printing technique that creates a tactile impression on paper. Traditionally, it involves setting type or plates, inking them, and pressing them into the surface of the paper, leaving behind an embossed mark you can see and feel.

Once the standard for printing everything from books to newspapers, letterpress is now cherished for its craftsmanship and timeless quality. Whether used for fine art prints, wedding invitations, or bespoke stationery, letterpress brings warmth, depth, and a distinctive character that digital printing simply can’t replicate.

We print everything by hand on a Chandler and Price made in 1911.
